But yeah I agree 100%, lets see exactly what we're dealing with first. At the moment it is all just assumptions.

Posted 02/03/11 02:00 AM Share Posted 02/03/11 02:00 AM not one person or mp can tell me how they are going to stop buisness passing on the cost to the public. They say low income earners will get some money back ok but that leaves small buisnesses and middle income earners they will have less money to spend so here we go again less money for the biusnesses to spend and around it goes.where does it end with people losing jobs then all starts again. These fools running the show just dont get it 34000 green jobs will cost a whole lot more than that.if they bring this in there will be more including one close to me tax on live stock and believe me it is coming.Where do we recoup that as our wool and sheep are sold at sales so we cant increase our prices to recoup this or the extra for power and fuel.To over come it we need more sheep we have the room for that except the greens have told us that the 1000 acreas we have cant be touched protected trees they say that is a 1000 acreas of cypres pine go figure.I can take anybody there and stay there all day and you will not see a animal or even hear one so I dont know what is protected. So how do I recoup this huge tax I cant so like many farmers I will eventurly have to shut the gates and there is another family on the streets no jobs.So the cycle starts again.Ian

Can anyone explain this? Isn't green energy production supposed to get cheaper in time as usage increases? I smell a rat!!!

The full list of exemptions isn't even decided yet so best wait till that happens before assuming.

Therefore, far better for us to wait until the global giants develop the technology that brings economic feasability.God forbid, imagine if the Rudd ideal had been achieved prior to the disaster that was Copehagen. So far as Green power is concerned, there is just no technology available today that in any way is not at least 10 times more inefficiant than current base load Coal Fired power generation. But, there is Uranium.....& we have plenty.Yesterday, I recieved my latest (Qld)power bill. $205 increase on the same period last year & since that time, I have done the full energy saving thing as outlined by that intellectual dwarf, Bill Shorten. This is symptomatic of much Labor governments that have spawned the Giants like "Power Point" Peter Beatty. (Yes, yes. Power costs will go down with more competition.....!!)But hey, I'm a bit proud to be a swinging voter, one of the ones that will work hard to vote agin those that just dont come up to the mark. I have voted Labor in the past when conservative Gubmints had gone stale. Unfortunatly, IMO that currently applies federally and in particular to Qld & NSW and they deserve to be hounded & derided until they no longer occupy their current positions. There....I feel a lot better now. Think I'll have a wee dram of Non Carbonised Single Malt to calm me down before dinner tonight.Gawd....

Be realistic on what they weant to achieve, ie leave the planet in a as good if not better condition that our generation inherited it.Two. Use their own money on infrstructure that backs up the talk, ie infrastructure and programs that genrically walks the walk. Now they did have a smalll go with rain water tanks and solar power, but both of these were such monumental cluster f*cks that they carry no weight. What happened after also showed them for what they were, and was seen to be doing the right thing only to recoup costs and some down the track.I am sorry but f*ck the governemnet they are incompetant ass clowns of the highest order, they are completely devoid of personality and foreign big bussiness runs this country. The only reason we are not a third world is because of what we have in the ground.Scotty
