Old man has just told me he's selling very soon as he will be upgrading each year. If your interested in the car bcl shoot a PM over and I can send you a pic of the For Sale write up he's doing at the moment. May be in different states, but doubt you'll find a better one in either :spoton: hope to hear from you soon

They're beautiful to drive. I've got one of the last of the old shape and a rep at work that they moved over from NZ has one of the new diesel's. Reasonably quick too for what they are. Not XR6 or FPV quick, but for a big vehicle they're better than what you expect with all the torque and the 6 speed.

I'd have one! If only Ford didn't make them (if you know what I mean). Being a fleet car we have to use Ford servicing.

Yes. You are correct. I did a quick check, and found from Wiki:

The diesel Territory will use a Ford AJD-V6/PSA DT17 2.7-litre V6 combined with the six-speed 6R80 automatic transmission produced by Ford in the US.

The 6R is a six-speed automatic transmission for longitudinal engine placement in rear-wheel drive vehicles. It is based on the ZF 6HP26 transmission[1] and is built under license by the Ford Motor Company at its Livonia Transmission plant in Livonia, Michigan. The 6R debuted in 2005 in the 2006 model yearFord Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer.

Gear ratios:

4.17

2.34

1.52

1.14

0.86

0.69

Final drive 3.15, 3.31, 3.55, 3.73

These are the same ratios that is in my BF F6.

When I drove the Territory on Sunday I drove in manual mode it drove the same as the ZF, and even when I came to a stop it was still in 2nd, and did not shift to 1st, again the same as the ZF.

So looks like a copy of the German box. Changes are soft and slow compared to what I have, and am used to.

Either way, its a 'very' good Car to drive!

I got the 2750kg Tow Pack and will be throughly testing it with a trip to Phillip Isle first Week of August.

- With the BA on the back!

You really can't go wrong with it Brian.

I spoke to Herrod a couple of Months ago and they still haven't managed to crack the ECU though.

Thanks Nigel.

It's like deja vu. Another model, another ecu to crack.

Have fun at Phillip Island.

It is indeed!

But this time, I think I'll let a few other fellas do the testing first!

- I'm sure you know what I mean
