Im working banking hours these days. work 9hr days, monday friday in Perth and tues/wens/thurs on site

Mind you I started FIFO work in 98 so i think i've paid my penance!

ive done 4/1, 3/1, 2/1 aand have finally made the 8/6 so im home every second weekend...

so how did u score the "kinda fifo" role at 7 mile?

Actually work out of 6 mile while im up there. My maint planner experience got me into a contract role with assest managment who are all perth based hence the short roster. Im happy. Plus my wife has earned a break from me being away all the time.

I personally think that a dinner pre cruise will be too hard. By the time everyone finds parking, has dinner etc it'll be pushing 9.30 / 10 and by then most members would prefer not to cruise I'd imagine.
