hi all, was wondering if the f6 std cooler is much of an upgrade on the std xr6t item (for the right price) as I'm not chasing any more than 300rwkw and dont feel I need to spend 1k on a massive cooler for what im after.. and also wondering if its a direct replacement or does it need different pipes. any help is much appreciated. cheers.

It's an upgrade, but not much of an upgrade... Uses the stock piping, however if you want 300 you might have to upgrade some of it cause it will blow apart with any more than 12psi (the piping that is...)

The F6 cooler might be taller but it's thinner than the XR cooler so they really aren't much of an upgrade. I was making just 300rwkw on the XR standard cooler but if you want better consistancy in warmer weather then a bigger aftermarket item is the go.

nup, they're poo m8. If doing it for looks and get one cheap then ok, otherwise just do a pipe kit and tune. I've tuned mine (270rwkw) but summer in Qld has killed the performance so intend to do the PWR stepped cooler and pipe kit. I'm not chasing big power either, just want to improve it over stock and remove the puss hoses for reliabilty.
