Hi Everyone,

Im new to this forum and for the last 4 years I had a 99 VT Berlina, Last weekend I went out and bought a 09 FG XR6 and absolutely love it...

I know im comparing an older Expensive Daewoo to a newer Ford but the overall quality is so much better.

Im not really going to mod my new car, Im happy with it stock.

Ive ordered the LEDs for the front headlights like the Audis, Making the interior light blue and I want to get an exhaust (Does that void ford warranty?) and any suggestions for exhausts are welcomed.

Thanks!

Nick

Welcome mate, great choice on colour spoton.gif

First thing I would suggest is try and cancel those LED's if you can as they will ruin a nice looking car.

Second is good luck trying not to mod it, everyone says that but these cars respond so well to modification it will be a never ending battle to keep it stock so you might as well just give in now.

Thirdly most of the time you can get away with a cat back exhaust for a deeper note without requiring a re tune but a full turbo back will require a re tune. A cheaper option is just to remove the center muffler for a deeper note but that is really a personal choice as some people think it sounds like a tractor.

Have a good look around the forums and you should get some more detailed answers then mine.

Very nice looking car mate, you will love it.

Not sure he will need a turbo back exhaust as it certainly doesn't look like an xr6t it looks n/a to me, and the p-plates give it away. But to my knowledge an exhaust does not void warranty, especially on a simple flow and a/f ratio falcon naturally aspirated.

Enjoy coming over to the better side of life. :beerchug:

hey dillz if you look at the back of the car where it says xr6 there is no turbo badge. so a turbo back exhaust won't work since it's a n/a. so xr6_nick just a cat back and some wheels and lowererd.

Thanks Everyone, Im going to put in those LEDS and then see how they look.. I just want to learn how to do basic electrical work to my car :)

I just ordered a big mouth air intake, Not much but its a start :)

Anyone else with a XR6 non turbo with any good modding ideas? (Apart from turbo :P )

Cheers,
