turns out that the power and boost levels were not accurate... got another tune and results of this tune was 285rwkw @18psi not 293rwkw @16psi.

So are you comparing the results from 2 different tunes here or was the one tune just ran up on a different dyno?

18psi is heaps of boost for that sort of power level.

8rwkw's is a tiny amount that could be attributed to a heap of different factors like different dynos, tyres, tyre pressures, ambient conditions etc etc.

my first ever tune was done there using a xcal 1.

full exhaust

injectors

intake

cooler even though it was a monza

fuel pump

16 psi

a whopping huge 281rwks. and that's bf mk 2. had a retune 3 weeks later at springy performance and still with the monza 318rwks. on 14psi.

enough said.

the power figure doesnt really phase me (different dynos arent going to give the same results) and their are a few variables that come in to play.. I know that bit.. just seems funny the result from bpr was 293.5rwkw @16psi and on a different dyno it read 285 @18psi..

I wasnt really happy with 16psi let alone 18psi for obviouse reasons..

current tune is 270rwkw @12psi... I dont think the boost reading is incorrect on the second tuners dyno as FGs run around 10psi standard and if his reading was happy by 2 psi.. my car would be running 270atw @ 10psi?!

does this potentially mean that im not the only one that has had a higher boost reading than what was promised??
