Guys,

Wondering whether the shocks changed in the runout BF2 xr6 turbos. Went to change a mates shocks on the weekend and the rears were perfect, but the fronts seem to be different, the seat for the spring is lower then it should be. Looking through the parts book it appeared we had the right parts and checked with the manufacturer.

The car is an ex cop car too, dont know whether that has any bearing on it either. The cars also got SL Kings on the front.

Did they come out with the F6 shocks or something different from the BA to BFs? Its an 12/07 build if that helps.

Also called in to see if Pat was at wholesale on my way back from the station but missed you by about 30min if you're reading this mate.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Dave

Hey Mate, there is no hard and fast rules as to when the struts changed, we have seen BF2 struts in BF1's and vice versa...

Unless you can change the shocks, you will have to change the springs :spoton:

Ahh just saw the wheels and handling thread too...I believe I posted this in the wrong spot lol.

Thanks for that Pat. So they could be F6 shocks too? Do the seats in the shock for the spring sit a bit higher then the other turbos?

Mate I recently put lower, higher rate springs on my BFII Update and had to move the collar down to cater for the longer, higher rate spring. Anything is possible.

OK cool thanks guys. The car sat soooo low when we put the shocks in there was no clearance for turning. If it had worked it would have looked pretty good lol.

We'll have another crack at it with different parts next week.
