I then found a company called X-PLODE PERFORMANCE which specialise in exhaust products and high flow cats and spoke with them and they were very informative and very friendly and pointed me to their X-PLODE 3" 100cpi cat. They explained to me that once fitted I would need a retune to stop it over boosting but I would pick up more power and hit boost earlier due to less restriction. so I purchased the X-PLODE 3" cat and fitted it up and babied it to my tuner where they fixed it up and dynoed it again and it then made 310rwkw with boost kicking in alot earlier than it was before. When I saw the dyno figure I was shocked and very happy and sent them an email to X-PLODE PERFORMANCE thanking them for all their help and told them the figure I achieved. The cat converter only cost me $170 with free postage and I think that is a bargain compared to other places which were quoting me $250+ for one.If anyone is interested they should check them out www.xplodeperformance.com or email them at michael@xplodeperformance or xplodeperformance@hotmail.com

FPV_sideways Member 12 Member For: 17y 4m 10d Posted 08/02/11 08:37 PM Author Share Posted 08/02/11 08:37 PM I went with the 4" body as it fits nicely and there is no difference between the 5" body and the 4" body one as it made for a lot more flow. I am really happy with it and for such a simple mod I made pretty awesome power and this is with the stock catback.I am going to leave my catback for now but they are making a twin 2.5" stainless system for our cars as well so will see later if I want to change mine.
