After getting the car tuned I have noticed a very rough shift back into 1st gear when coming to a stop. Tranny seems to shift back to 1st once the car comes to a complete stop causing the whole car to lurge forward.

If I shift to neutral or use manual mode to downshift to 1st before the car is stationary then it doesn't do it. The idle was raised to around 700rpm also.

You've changed the engine calibration!

The factory engine cal has contingencies inbuilt to compensate for the mismatch between trans behaviour and powertrain, you've thrown that out and replaced it.

Unless you can change the trans calibration as well (which Ford can't even do easily), or somehow alter your PCM logic, you have what you have.

now with brand spanka zf no probs even after my tune..

im no expert but I dont think the tune has everything to do with it.

hope this helps, and I feel your pain mate.. drove around like that for 15 thou kms. bloody anoying!

I don't like the idle @ 700rpm too high should be 550rpm

Mine pretty good, was rough 1-2 on old tune but good now... Going to be great when the zf tune software comes out.. Makes the good gearbox better, almost great...
