Thinking about selling my BA Typhoon to get a FG XR6 Turbo. What's the main differences between the two cars, besides the smaller turbo? Would be going from a T56 to a ZF, is there any options that differ between the two cars? Looking at a FG with Premo sound and Tech pack.

Also whats an average dyno figure for a FG XR6 Turbo? I hear the F6 would be around 270, so would it be around 240?

Yeah Anything from 220 to 255... You'll find the zf feels quick and the boost comes on harder quicker...

Otherwise... Not much different besides internal noise levels, driving dynamics etc... Brakes still sh*t! LOL

Other than that... I like the fg interiors more than the BF...

Drive one and feel the difference!

Worlds apart in actual "feel" for lack of a better word and to me the FG's steering seems allot more direct and refined. I jumped out of a BF2 F6 straight into and FG XRT and was sold on the spot.

But the main difference you will have by the sound of it is the gearbox.

Why do you want to change? Your Phoon is a tune away from high 300s, with nearly every mod done already. Its holding its value better too, and stands out well compared to a stock FG T.

The FGs do go very well stock though, neater interior, better ride. Quieter to ride in etc etc, its a whole new design. the looks are still pretty :pooh:

the steering seems a lot sharper in the FG, but like someone on here said: that doesn't mean it handles better. I couldn't believe how much more "chuckable" the FG is compared to my BF with bilsteins and whitelines.

I can't say I'm sold on the FG interior, sure its more modern, but still so far off european and japanese cars for quality of feel, no map lights either on the xr6 I had for a week eitehr.

It's a quantum leap mate. When I was looking, I drove a super tidy R spec with 15k on it. Stopped better, went better than the stock FGT (albeit with more lag) but I just couldn't get past the dated look and the FG was far more refined - as it should be. I wanted a new car too to be fair so it was probably never really in the hunt and I ruled out an immaculate VZ R8 for the same reason. My pick - save a bit more coin and buy a babied low k or demo FG F6. Then you've got it all!

I don't think my car is holding it's value at all, definitely not selling all too quickly. And I like the Fg utes, sedans don't look all that good unless it a f6. Toss up between Fg xr6t or Bogan special redline wagon
