The festival will give Street Machine enthusiasts from Bathurst and beyond an opportunity to enjoy their passion, outside of a capital city.Springnats currently runs similar events at Murray Bridge SA, Corowa NSW, Mount Gambier SA, and Shepparton VIC.It’s expected the Valvoline Bathurst Autofest will prove very popular with car enthusiasts and further cement Mount Panorama’s reputation as the home of Australian motorsport.“Council is always looking to attract new events to our region and we are very happy to partner with Springnats Pty Ltd for this exciting new festival,” said Bathurst Mayor, Paul Toole.“This will be a different kind of event for the mountain and I’m sure it will prove to be very popular with Street Machine enthusiasts everywhere.”Les Adams from the Springnats organisation added: “This is a major decision and a huge step forward for our sport, and shows the growing strength of Street Machining.”The dates and program for the Valvoline Bathurst Autofest will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
