You'll findthe autos are only quicker because of there launch, rolls on you will I've them every time stock vs stock. Plus there not a bad box either, keeps the drive interesting. I don't like driving a v8 unless it's a manual. I have a turbo BF xr6t with the 6 speed auto, and it is fantastic for the turbo,but the v8 and manual is a better drive.
