I’m trying to do this today on my 2007 mk II xr6t and am stuck big time , I can’t get the f6 intercooler into place with either standard brackets or the typhoon brackets that came with the cooler , seems the f6 cooler is roughly 1 inch wider and has the scensor thing for the gauge , any suggestions as to what order I should be doing the cooler and brackets as I’m buggered , been trying for 2 hours since removing old cooler and nowhere near success yet , please help ?? It's a straight swap. It will all line up and then you will see you need to to drill one hole I gather you have the bumper and front of the car removed Edited 25/04/18 06:44 AM by arronm

It was more than 10 years ago. Assemble both with brackets put side by side. Then work it out

Unbolt the old one at the bumper leaving the brackets on, unbolt the brackets if necessary for the space. The F6 cooler slides in with a bit of effort then bolts into the same holes on the bumper.
