Although I have not modded my old Xr6 turbo but itis starting to get up on the km's and are not very techinal and I am sure more people will be able to give you better advice, but nobody has really replied yet so.- I thought turbo''s genrally had a life of about 160,000kms.- With the higher km's I would be looking for a full genuine service history- Make sure the car is actually roadworthy, witht he pod filter I would have thought it would not be roadworthy.- The 4 speed auto's are not as strong as the 6 speeds and quite a few people here have broken them running higher power (generally over 30rwkw's)- With a custom if possible putting it on a dyno and get a professional to check it the custom tune.I actually like the look of the wheels (not that xrt6t was asking sbooker)

It would have to be well looked after and at those K's have already had some work done on it. Looks like a 4 speed as well. I would check it's condition. It's just at thos K's there may be considerable work needed if not done already. Good luck.

I do not like chromies too, but dealer will change to OEM wheels and tyres2. Dealer will rise car a little bit because lowest points (muffler) is sitting about 4-5 cm above ground3. I was wondering about ipod filter and relocation of battery4. I do not think there is problem with RWC because everyone know there dealer have always friends for RWC, but in the future will be problem if I need RWC5. Km is very high I know6. At the end I think I will chasing another XR6 Turbo7. THANKS AGAIN BOYS - I will try to find some Turbo with less km and stock - normally if I am lucky. But be aware that some people do return their car to stock after modifying them - because they know it's easier to sell stock (gives the impression it has not had a hard life). And I would probably steer clear of the one you put up in the first post - 176,000 km is a bit high. You should be able to get a BA XR6 T under 100,000km for less than $18k including RWC. But also be wary of onroad costs - they can easily add another $2k like happend to me in VIC. Then there is car insurance - factor in another $1k for that. So a $18k could cost you about $21k all up.Have a look at what I wrote about my buying. I already check for insurance and cost me $700 from RACQ for Full Comprehensive Insurance. That is not a problem...Modification and high km is biggest problem I think.Anyway thanks for your opinion, and all opinion from all of us move myself to far from buying this car.
