unopenned refers to 'bottom end' dude. even if it had the most modified head/ cams in the country, it would still be unopenned...

Unopened always opens a discussion which turns into an argument

Unopened rules seem to change depending on what type of vehicle we are talking about and which forum you visit.

LS1 guys consider unopened to include allowing valve spring changes

Unopened on the FF means unopened - nothing opened or changed internally at all

I thought unopened on this forum allowed a spring change

This is the first time I have heard unopened means just stock bottom end, :dontknow:

but if u have to change the cam seals on a belt driven car u have to take the tappets off. then its been "opened". so u cannot set an "unopened" record with that car now ? just because its got new cam seals ? remember valve springs get old and worn and simply require replacement just like timing belts seals water pumps etc. if u put bf mk1 springs in then that shud be within the rules 4 sure because u have the same bottom end. and if u are putting nizpro springs in u are downgrading lol. go 4 it mate and run e85, the ba motors are not that weak its all propaganda :icon_ford:
