The one I'm gettin is 2mm which I thought might be a bit thin, but might be ok then?

The whole kit will cost me roughly $100 off ebay, that roughly what you paid mate?

I ment to say 1.2-2mm but 2pm seems about right. It's plenty thick enough for it's use

Cost me a bit more cos I brought 2 silicone elbows and t-nuts and 2 alloy pipes cos I cut the first one a tad too short.

Dillz, how'd you go with this one as I'm considering doing it to my G6T, was just a bit worried that all the pipes on ebay may not be rolled/bent at the same radius and not line up etc.

is this what is needed??

1x 4"/102mm 90deg Aluminium intercooler Pipe

1x 4'/102mm to 3'/76mm Silicone 90deg Elbow(3'' for mounting to turbo??)

then either

1x 4''/102mm Straight silicone coupler

or

1x 4''/102mm Silicone Hump coupler/joiner(this gives a bit of flex if the angle is not perfect e.t.c from what I can work out)

also when you cut the pipe do you lose the flange/beading that is meant to make the joiner seal better?? did this cause any leaks e.t.c.??

any help appreciated, as I like to fiddle but usually only on cheaper things, I.e don't wan't to wreck my new expensive toy.

I went with a 4" to 3" straight reducer from crossover.

Opted for 3" 90 Deg Mandrel bent elbow from exhaust shop, as factory is 3" internal anyways then slightly reduced radius. (Not alloy, possibly deeper note?)

3" silicone elbow from that to turbo.

Coat of 3M 650 Deg black paint from supercheap.

Took longer to hack saw elbow as my drop saw lent out, than to paint and fit. Prob easier to work with alloy, yet I'm happy with results.

Let's have a go now, Just called local exhaust shop and he said $22 bucks for a 3" 90deg bend,then silcone joiners of ebay for about $18 each, plus a beer & some paint, nice, can't wait.

then I'll have a go at a homemade cold air box and pod with 3" piping(Like Kink has done).
