I'm in brissy now so I haven't seen but from reports from family members in tully has been close to devistated. The family business has lost it's workshop & then some & businesses around it in the old tin style workshops are flattened. I haven't heard how our house has faired but we'll wait & see. Worst case will be a missing roof & broken windows but it's fully insured so can't stress to much.More importantly all family members are okay

Just went for a quick drive around, theres alot of trees, fences down, gutters missing, and cars with trees on top of them. I've got some photos so I'll put them up soon.John, It's not good to hear the shop has suffered damage but hopefully it can be repaired. It's good to hear that your family is safe. sexual harrassment panda I see a red door and I want to paint it black Donating Members 5,919 Member For: 15y 3m 27d Gender: Male Location: Far north queensland Posted 03/02/11 09:12 AM Share Posted 03/02/11 09:12 AM John your garage has a bit of damage and seems to be missing a big intercooler Hope your place is ok though, good to hear you were properly insured. My family's places in wangan are off ok with only a lil shed going at my grandparents. We have plenty of generators and supplies so everyone should be right. I got a call from Qantas saying my flight was cancelled but if I got my arse to the airport I could make it out of cairns. Ended up having a 9 hr stopover in brissie airport and made it to perth as planned. Bit of a tough call to leave the gf by herself just as they made the call to evac her street but it ended up heading miles south of her place and she got through unscathed anyway.
