try another tuner 16psi is a lot of boost for little power, I dont know about the injectors being maxed out but I thought the FG F6 injectors were good for 350 odd kw

question is why change the turbo for that power level? or are you chasing much more power, cos the stock unit would have gotten you there and also reached peak boost many hundred rpm's earlier mine hits 10psi @ 2100 rpm and could be tuned to come on even earlier, the turbo you have is making 10psi @ 2700rpm

That is nearly twice as much boost as you need for 320, if I read it right... :omg: Probably not..

OP stated he was having issues with the stock turbo, thus the upgrade...

Yeh Dillz, it's like 26psi for 318rwkw, somethings not right, either I'm reading it wrong or that's fked lol

Its only making 15psi to make the power, not 26, your reading the power curve. If the turbo currently holds 8psi, then it doesn't need a bigger actuator does it? How can it be too small if its controlling a low boost pressure? It can't. My advise would be to get some 60lb injectors, a walbro pump, "hiflow" the factory cat;-) and upgrade the intercooler with a bolt in job. These items should bring you up to 360-380rwkw for less than 3-4k. Unfortunately they all go hand in hand, your current power level is around the limit for all those items and you need them all to complement one another.

Don't copy me 6BOOST :bum::spoton:

Sorry mate, I didn't read every post word for word but great advise you gave :beerchug: Only one I don't agree with is wastegate flapper valve, we find they simply don't need it, my ute holds any boost from 10psi to 23 with stock valve (but it has the factory exhaust from the cat back) and a customers BF we tuned with full 3.5" exhuast fitted to dispell the backpressure myth with my stock exhaust again held anything from 12psi to 20 with stock valve. If you mod your car and find it needs it, so be it, but I'm just sayin don't do it for the sake of it as we haven't found a car with factory turbo yet that does.:spoton:

What actuator mate? And on standard catback? that's awesome news for the budget concious..

I thought most people did it over say 14 pound, is it a consistency thing or what??

Hmm interesting you say that. I've been holding off on a full 4" exhaust because I CBF paying danny $900 to port the gate.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm :innocent:

Well my ute uses a 12psi actuator as it has the factory exhaust in place, the extra back pressure needing a higher actuator pressure to keep stable boost up to 20+psi. On Johns car we used an 8psi actuator and found it works very similar to my car but his has a bigger 3.5" exhaust. He thinks his mufflers are a bit restrictive, which may be why we are having no overboosting issues with the factory flapper, however I can't comment on boost control with a 4" big open exhaust, however I can't see it adding 10psi+ over a 3.5" system with a "hiflow;-)" cat, and Johns car held 8-10psi with no probs.
