ok here we go I just got myself a ef xr6 manual and I would like to know of some cheap ways to gain some power out of it , like holes in the bottom of the air box little chips that trick the computer into thinking the o/s temp is hotter to allow more fuel thingss of that nature any ideas would be very handy in my search for power.

Mate if you play Pat Benatar "All Fired Up" in the Cd player, that always makes me drive faster. Dunno if that helps. lol

Seriously mate, dont know with those cars how much you can squeeze out of them. Some form of cold air intake would be your best bet I'm tippin.

I think your best source of info would be the Ford Australia Forums as there are all sorts of Fords over there with various mods. But if you think about the basic combustion engine principle of more air in and and more air out equals more horsepower then it's simple. If you want cheap and don't want forced induction then I'd say cold air intake with filter, pacemaker headers with exhaust to start with. Then when funds permit port and polish head, fit some cams and a Nitrous Kit.

Have a look around on Fordmods.com forum, the boys their will help you out.

Extractors/exhaust, new intake, cams , tuning are the usual power upgrades for Eseries.
