a better air intake system will help something like processwest, plazmaman or nizpro and cooler kit got to try and make the pipe work as short as possible oh and a tune

Just put an edit in. They can tune it so the turbo spins up earlier than 2000 rpm thus reducing some lag. No special parts needed except maybe gap the spark plugs to 0.8 inches and maybe a newer engine thermostat to control when the fans kick in - but your tuner can advise on that.

Lol I dare say a typo haha.

I that's all you want bud just get a custom tune and tell the tuner what you'd like to see out of it. Supporting hardware always helps of coarse but the beauty of these cars is all we need is timing and boost and they take off. You play you pay though that's the only downside and it can be very addictive because you will always get use to it.

Another factor is clutch and or box whether it's auto or manual at that era/age.
