update for you guys... do not buy these LED fog lamps!!!

please see pictures below, they show LED's that have gotten so hot they have melted off and are sitting inside my fog lamp housing. Out of 102 LEDs sitting on each globe, only about 2-3 LEDs actually light up now per globe.

LEDs are obviously very cheap and serve a good purpose but not as fog lamps, well at least not the ones off ebay :hmmm:

All well you live and learn I guess :fool:

and yes yes I know my car is filthy

So didn't even last 2 months? Now you got to take the light out completely and shake the bits out.

Ebay should have a delayed feedback where you could comment on quality some time after the sale...

yer I've got HID headlights, I was hoping for an easy out as I couldnt be bothered mounting ballasts etc for HID's down there so went for the LED's as the colour temperature was similar to my HID headlights.

Turns out the easy way quite often doesnt work, last night I pulled everything apart, got the loose LED's out and put my old H11 globes back in, now off to get a HID kit for them

im sure most LED lights are ok, although 102 High Intensity LEDs on the one globe is probably generating a bit too much heat.

I would recommend to stay away from the ebay job I first listed, pictured below.

maybe around 10 or even 20 LEDs are ok, but 102 as you can see not so good.

I'll be going the way of HIDs, nice colour temperature and super bright.

Ive got 64 and can't say I have any problem at all. HID kits are illegal as you can't adjust angle and also can't use them in your fogs in Vic as your not allowed to use them. Ive been pulled over twice on FN stud road but let off as have got out and shown them they are LEDs and wouldn't light up a piece of paper.

same as yours from same seller too I think. just with 60 something globes instead of 100+. Search ebay worldwide as the price can drop to 2 or 3 dollars instead of heaps when searching locally. Grab a couple if they are cheap as no postage on second set usually..
