Ok guys. A track day at Winton during the week as this is cheapest, with full marhsalls, medical, timing etc, is a little over $8k.

To make it cost effective, in other words make it cheap enough we need at least 41 cars. With 41 people that will make it $200 a head. Obviously the more people we had, the less cost itr would be.

That amount includes Ambulance for the day as well, public liability insurance. Gates would open at 8 and we would have the track till 6.30.

Catering is available but I'd suggest we get a heap of meat and have bbq or all put in something extra nad have a catered lunch.

But that's down the track.

To get it down to say $150 per person, we would need about 55 people.

Now before you say that's alot, its not, and when you consider how big the track is, that's not many. We could have sessions, 20 mins on, 20 mins off or similar.

So, Winton is viable. If we do it on a weekend, its about an extra $2k.

Comments please.

Calder Park.

Calder PArkss fee structure is a little difference but about the same cost.

Track hire is $6k, $600 isnurance, $800 for safety office, $1000 for medical staff. that's all ext gst.

Calder park to offer free practice days. These are $220 pre day per driver.

Cant find it mate. I tried for Broadford as well but that's more suited to bikes.

Philip Island do drive days but you need a Cams licence and I dont think they hire the curcuit.

There would have to be more than 50 members from Vic. Maybe we get a mod to send a pm to all vic members to see if they are interested. If we got it down to under $150, that's heaps cheper than Calder, better curcuit and its all ours for the day. Be a great social gathering and Gary would go ape droppings for the photo opps of 50 odd XR Ts. The colour line up would look amazing.

But I agree Rus, don't think we will get the numbers I'm afraid.

this really sucks man, I know a few people from work would want in, but I'd want an all Ford day otherwise I would just go to the Calder open practice.

If the dollar value was around $300 you would only need around 26 cars, now that's a gettable figure.

The problem with the calder park open practice is you need a full race suite, who has those lying around :dontknow:

How about someone gets on myface and starts an event.

Could get more numbers that way... don't know about you guys but I'd prefer to have a mix of cars.
