Maybe at Winton or one of those sorts of places.I havent enquired and will find out what is involved but If it went ahead it would be good to just have XR Ts and F6s rather than Lambos and Porsches bla bla bla.Anyway, before I waste too much effort, and just in case I am treading on anyone's toes, who would be interested and what would you be prepared to pay?Rusty mentioned Winton may be around $3000 for the day which at say $100 a pop we would need at least 30 members. I'd have to see, however what safety facilities are provided or what we would have to provide.Of course any participants would have to agree not to hold fordxr6turbo.com liable if they go kaboom or smashhhhh.Anyway, unless a mod bangs it on the head, who would be interested?? They need to open places like sandown on a Friday night. Would be awesome to just roll in there and cut laps all night with great cars.It would be nice if everyone came along and we could make a day of it every year.. Rusty XR6T Donating Members 516 Member For: 14y 9m 30d Gender: Male Posted 18/01/11 02:03 AM Share Posted 18/01/11 02:03 AM I looked into this a while ago, pretty sure Winton was like $3000 for the day with out a timing marshal and somewhere like Haunted Hills was like $1800 without a timing marshal.Im pretty sure you can go on the track with a day license (I think around $90) or a CAMMS Level 2 Speed will suffice. If it all comes off im in for sure
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 18/01/11 02:29 AM Share Posted 18/01/11 02:29 AM (edited) I thought day only LS2's were around $25 bucks. Year ones are $90. The AASA ones are dearer.Don't for get a helmet and a long sleeve shirt is a must. T shirts or short sleeves are not allowed.A good tyre pressure gauge is a must for mine as well. And heaps of cold water. I think EC is about 4 large for the day or use to be. Edited 18/01/11 02:29 AM by XR09
