Funny. He was not happy at all about his photo being taken. Said a few nasty words and took his own photo back

first offence 30 days

second offence dont know

but third offence they will crush your car

what happens, if you get done twice, and you borrow someones car

Your own bloody fault and the dill who lent you the cars fault. :fool:

(I am pretty sure there will be a case to have the 'borrowed' car returned in extenuating circumstances....)

Lol no sense of humour. I would of just said I was a massive fan & just really wanted a pic.

As for the laws I think there a touch on the harsh side. The problem is that the definition of a hoon is up to the officer at the time & that leaves way too much room for human interpretation & emotion which can & will lead to unfair tickets for those that are normally pretty good & just have a momentary lapse.

Myself im usually pretty good but I did build this car to have fun in it so I do give it a squirt from time to time but I try & be smart as far as when & where but it only takes one time at the wrong time & I. live with the same consequences as those that really deserve it

few years back before anti-hoon laws were in place I was driving in a (single lane) 100km zone over took a car, got pulled over about 100m down the road.

copper said I didn't slow down quick enough after I got back in the lane and got me at 130km, said I needed to slow down within like 30m of getting back in the lane, I argued I had a trailer o the back and couldn't slow down to quick etc etc.

if these new laws were in place I woulda lost my car for 30 days??

that's bullsh*t

Wouldnt that just be a speeding fine?

This is what gets me, what do you have to be doing to be labled a hoon? Obvious ones would be burnouts, street racing, kicking the back out etc.. But surely speeding is still speeding. If im doing 10kms over the limit and I drive a T am I a hoon and loose my car for 30 days?

I think they need to introduce some sort of mandatory advanced driver training prior to geting your license and then at some set intervals. All I have noticed over the years is that the Australian Government is only interested in its revenue and not the safety of its drivers. Why not educate rather than crack the whip and punish, a very negative approach to driver education if you ask me.

f*ck... If kicking the back out is a hoon I am in trouble... :buttonit:

If I drive mine in manual mode it screeches 1st/2nd from as low as 2500rpm... Mick @ PitLane made it shift nice and hard... LOL :innocent:

Spirited driving is what I call it... Not "hooning"... Hooning is skids, street racing... etc... Not spirited driving :dontknow:

I think they need to start up a hotline were u can ring up and just dob in absolute useless drivers. the other day I had a old dude merge on me in his brand new gts I had to pull off to the wrong side and jam my breaks on. he wouldnt look at me eather. I was still in uniform so couldnt do to much. but as soon as I give it a little stick even up to the speed limit evey one stares at me like im the sh*ttest c*** on the road. I think they need to toughen up there sh*t driver laws anyone with me on that? and give us aleged hoons a rest we cop enough sh*t already.
