Was actually a steel fitting but still replaced it. Enzed charged $72 to make a up a replacement line with straight connectors. It's the perfect length now and no clearance issues - didn't even need to cable tie it to the water line. Like I said earlier, if using the sonic kit keep the filter on the passenger side and you'll avoid this problem.

Fit neither. Just do the filter kit. If you've just flogged the car - do a slow lap before ya shut down.

The 'sonic' kit uses a earls 85 micron filter and the supplied part number is EAR230204. Looking at the Earls site, it says this one is for fuel? Number listed for oil is EAR230304. Is the other one ok to use or have they supplied the wrong one. Any thoughts.

85 micron will be fine.

Just to give you an idea how small that is, 70 microns is the thickness of a human hair.

Just under 80 microns is equivalent to 3 thousandths of an inch.

Table salt is 100 microns.

Visibility limit is 40 microns.

Bit of useless trivia for the day.:pleasantry:

yeah, don't know mate. That factory one is farking fine though - no wonder they block. RDP use these sonic kits so unless there was a packaging screw up, I'm not too worried.

The earls one off ebay I could go and pick up today, or the Motorsport connections one I will have to wait till next week, for them to post it with easter round the corner.. Then again it'll have to wait till then anyway to get fitted, cause I aint doin it myself?

So which one to get.. is its all the same?
