Pretty silly but at least he's floating and going with the flow lol.

Not as bad as the muppets who were jumping off the bridges!

Definitely a few people who have more than earnt bravery medals but I cant imagine how f*cked up it would be to attempt to save a family and only be able to save 1 of them.

Saw the video of the tugboat taking on that bridge on the news which was pretty impressive as well. I've driven tug's before and that's no easy feat. 300tonnes of concrete at 10knts will take most things out that's for sure.

Water came to my front yard ( Ipswich) every house on the other side of my street had some form of inundation.

Entering 3rd day with no electricity. Quarry where I work ( just below Wivenhoe and obviously just below where Lockyer Creek joins the Birs. River ) is gone. From what the guys told me of the last day there ( I tried to get up there but got as far as Fernvale, it was like night time at 7am and I couldn`t see the end of the bonnet for the rain turned around and ran home ) it would have biblical. Everyone laughed when I pointed to the highest point and and said: there`s ya high water mark.. they said: psssssssh that's form 1000`s of years ago.. it went 20 metres over it..

I am unaware if anyone I know in Grantham ( lived up Sandy Creek road for 10 years ) was affected. Knowing people who lived directly over Sandy Creek it has to be that I do, but just dunno anything.

I`ve finally been able to get across town to where my kids are staying at my sisters as roads and bridges open.

I`m fully ready to drag the cvnts in cars coming down my street just to gawk and fvck them over really good.

I said to one who drove by as we cleaned up: Just come for a look mate?? Yeah, just driving about looking at it all :)

I was like don`t wave to me then, cause I think you`re a dead cvnt, you`re not gonna help anyone and I bet you and ya busted arse mates are crowding supermarkets buying ALL the bread milk and Ice.

Anyway, bit of wet carpet and no power is nothing compared to what some ended up with. My heart goes out to Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley.

Oobviously there will be a lot of work to do now but one thing keeps bugging me.

Why haven't we seen the military out in force helping with recovery during the floods and now with cleaning up. All I heard was that they are flying food in and once there was a mention of 117 troops helping clearing sh1t. Maybe the media is not covering it and they are doing more than it seems to me but surely we can afford more than 117 soldiers in one of Australia's worst disasters.

What are you on the ground seeing in regards to this, or anyone else in the know?

I know there are some out helping to clean up but not sure how many.

On another note in rockampton they have a evacution centre that the goverment is going to close this week even though there are people still there because houses are still under water go figure.

The military have been out at the worst hit places doing grid searches for dead bodies. They have to go through all the crap that has been washed down the creeks and plains. There was a fair few in Bris on the weekend too. Blood hounds would have been good for the Army. Apparently they can smell the diff between a dead human and an animal.

I work in Wacol which for those who dont know is the suburb next to Goodna for Volvo Truck Production.

Went back to work today, and had a meeting explaining that's theres no damage to the site and blah blah blah, then they tell us that truck production isnt starting until next week so they are letting about 100 of our workers volunteer to help for the rest of the week with the cleanup in Goodna and Jindalee and we will be fully paid by work.

What a bunch of champs.

Also there was about 25 people who lost there houses from work. Work is paying for temporary accommodation, phycologists for the kids and parents AND keeping them on full pay until they can come back to work in about a week or two.
