Sorry I got everyone lost and bailed :\ Kind of hoping it's not as bad as the piston rings being f*cked.

The water must have been pretty low, and the very hot weather combined with high revving freeway driving must have just pushed it over the edge.

nothing too serious, it was only running at half temperature but it always runs at a quarter normally though, so I got worried.

when I stopped it leaked a fair bit, so there is definitely a crack somewhere in the core.

I topped the radiator up and the overflow bottle and it got me home at a quarter temp as per usual.

so I'll play it safe and get a new radiator or get this one fixed. I didn't want to risk it blowing somewhere in the hills.
