just bought a t off one of my mates and after a few nights of g force testing, it started making a squeeking noise from 2nd to 3rd

apparently the auto was strengthened and it also has a shift kit

I just got about a half hour ago and on my way home it was slipping every gear :(

would I need a rebuild?

if so does anyone know of any places in the northern suburbs? costs?

That is the first sign you will hear when your auto is about to sh*t its self, soon you will be without 3rd an 4 gear, sounds like its time for a rebuild, sorry to hear mate.

I will check tommorow when there is more light...my dad reckons a hose from the transcooler has blown because there is fluid about 1 metre infront of the car

I might just get a rebuild anyway :)

Sounds like it might need it anyway.

All the slipping would've damaged things quite a bit.

What power is your car making? did you have a larger aftermarket transcooler fitted? if over 300 rwkw's save some extra $$ and do a conversion the BTR even built will last a while but the parts eventually fail and a conversion will save you some $$ in the long run!!

checked out the car not to long ago and its blown a hose from the transcooler

not to sure what power the car is making, previous owner said around 250-260rwkw and yes a transcooler was fitted.

by conversion do u mean to a t56? hmmm sounds tempting lol just love cruising the auto soo easyy

ill be doing a complete bf conversion before too long- now staring down the barrel of 370rwkw on a stock ba! think the built btr wont last that long! :buttonit:
