Lifetime Members 1,122 Member For: 16y 6m 22d Gender: Male Location: Greenvale, Victoria Posted 10/01/11 07:17 AM Author Share Posted 10/01/11 07:17 AM so Rudiger just to clarify we are taking the Great Ocean road backwards in effect? coming onto the road at Skenes Creek then heading back towards Lorne after lunch at Apollo Bay, then from Lorne heading the back way towards Deans Marsh.So on our way there we will take the Geelong Bypass to Waurn Ponds then head down the Princes Hwy and take the turn off to Skenes Creek?I'm really confused! do you think you could map it out in Google maps and post the link to the route instead of just the map?Rusty I was just just gunna turn right at the thingy, go down a bit, left at that other thing keep going till the road stops, have lunch and turn around and come back. What? You want specifics?? Enjoy the discovery mate. lolSeriously, the route was taken from the map of last years cruise and it does differ from the actual route taken. It was my intention to remap the route before the cruise and Rusty has kindly volunteered to be my company on this long and rigorous task.I am just hoping that the weather for our recky is not TOO good as I do not wish to be distrcted from my important taks by some bikini clad beauty wiggling her assets in front of my spooled up um turbo. I got confused with the ring road because it said North Geelong when I think it's meant as the north end not the suburb North Geelong. They are in totally different areas Jarrod we went through Geelong last year and frankly it was a bit of a pain trying to keep everyone together. So this year we may just take the by pass past geelong and hed on down to Waurn Ponds and turn right at the highway and head on through Deans Marsh Down to Apollo bay.As mentioned, the directions are just taken from last years cruise which changed. Can't help bad luck or bad taste I suppose.Anyway, he has asked if he can come on this cruise and he has agreed to bring up the rear. I have put him in the "Maybe" list and while I know we like to keep it to cars like ours, this being my brother, well, I'd love hime to come along.If no one objects I'll let him come along, but if someone doesn't like the idea well then he can find another road lol.
