If someone is prepared to sell you a car from their home I reckon they are less likely to deliberately sell you a piece of sh*t.

I also think a lot of people who sell private are some what proud of their cars.

Also don't forget country cars.Apart from chips they get a relatively easy life, less braking, idling, cold running, less high torque at low speed etc..

ebxmple, did you advertise it on carsales or somewhere else? I'm basically limiting my searching to carsales and there are not many new things coming up recently (not turbos at least) :(

What about this one Knaps? This one looks like a really good one albeit a little out of your budget but I reckon if you offered him say 21k you'd probably get it:-

Keep looking man, don't restrict yourself to just one online carsite, look at all of them and be prepared to travel. It took me 4 months of looking and I ended up buying a BA 04 Mercury Silver T with heaps of extras and only 60,000k's on it for 17,000.

Depends what dealers you are going to, a Ford dealer SHOULD* have good quality T's on the yard,

I bought my BF XR6t magnet Ute, with premo sound, leather, momo ford wheel, dual zone, prestige paint, 18's. stock as a rock with 49000kms, for $22490 drive away.

THEY ARE OUT THERE! and you will know as soon as you see it! I wasnt even in the market for a car and have always loved the BA/BF shape in a ute. I saw it, 5 days later, I owned it!

good luck with the hunt for your T!

Ben

I just picked up my 2007 Flare MkII BF XRt auto for $22000 drive away... Has Premo sound, full luxury pack, full service history, one previous owner and 94Km's... K's were a bit high than what I originally wanted, but at the end of the day it was the best deal I could find... And I had been constantly looking for the "right one" for around 6 months.... Be patient mate, the right beast comes around. As I said I waited 6 months and during that 6 months I was relegated to a peice of sh*t VR Late model camira wagon... It was a bloody long wait!!! But now that I have her, I am glad I held off!
