Hi guys just abit about the car, brought it back in 09 was pritty much taken to bpt after I fittet some parts.. These were Hiflow cat by (prestige exhaust malaga) cheap china monza, 12lb actuator, walbro and 60pound injectors this combo too me to 342rwkw and good for 11.8 at 119mph.

since the power upgrade its a reall easy street car to handle but the mod bug sure had bitten me.. :))

blew the turbo in july, from the oil feed line and filter blocking up. so replaced it with another stocker..

was running perfect till 2 weeks ago then was driving at hi rpm and then never ran rite after that.. saw some coolant leaking out of the head...

also have a sh*t load of blow by in the cooler pipeing ect so maby piston or ring damage but also could be valve train. So did a compression test and got (psi) 150 155 110 145 175 170 was kina dumb like wow.. so looked at everyting and wasnt sure... so asked my old man and we put normal engine oil in NO# 3 cylinder and re did the compression and it came up 135 so there you go something fuked under there..

Pulled head off to find sh*t headgasket and broken chips off number 3 piston and most rings worn..

this leads to one thing. bottom end out.. FUN

Pulled out motor and striped it down to bare block

am looking at getting it machined and the head machined too then rebuild time

Parts I am looking at are

MOTOR

Spool rods or cheap h beam ones.

forged pistons

new main bearings new rod bearings

new main bolts and head studs

atomic oil pump

machining crank

race valve springs

high temp rear main

race girdle

new gaskets ect..

are there anying im missing..

BOLT ONS

GT4094

6 boost high-mount

external gate 60mm

rapid 4 inch intake

custom 4 inch dump (extra hiflow cat)

044 and surge tank deka 60's

PLAZMAMAN 1000hp cooler with rapidhot and cold pipeing

PLAZMAMAN plenum

ali radiator over flow.

catch can

we will see what I might need in the future but thinking down the track of a fuel rail and bigger injectors but as im looking for arround 450rwkw stock rail might be on its limit.

parts will be brought as soon as I have just brough a nice au daily will start with the motor..

in the mean time im cleaning up items and re painting the engine bay as there was alot of marks and scratches...

also the look out for most some polished items under the hood too..

guys any help will be welcome this will be a slow build but I will get there but things need to be done right.. I should of done it rite in the first place..

imo spend money on better motor parts first before going big turbo.

turbo can always be done down the track, redoing motor all the time would be hassle.

also might be worth looking at the GTX35

was this engine pinging its head off, because the damage to the pistons can cause this, and fg turbo motors arnt really that weak compared to a ba engine which is what I have.

It's not an FG as far as I can see? Only the plates :)

Agree though on getting better parts for a more solid base. Not good to see the word "cheap" in there after you've blown an engine already! Unless you get the part free but even then it's not worth the hassle I'd imagine.
