Mate has a plenum installed and on the breather on top of the engine ( the front one) he has a small filter and there seems to be excess oil around the area. should a catch can be installed?? will that reduce blow by? spoolxr6 Member 312 Member For: 14y 6m 13d Posted 09/01/11 04:00 AM Share Posted 09/01/11 04:00 AM Even an engine with normal wear and in normal operating conditions will still produce positive crankcase pressures that can also blow a bit of oil especially if the filter is stuck directly to the breather it will be evident more so than accumulating in the intake system.
