Hello, first post.

On Thursday I'm looking at a bf turbo ute, I asked him the build date and he said it's a July 06 build.

I think it's a mk1 as it doesn't say mk2.

Could it be a mk1 if it's built post 06/06?

Should it have the f6 bottom end or could it be a late mk1 using up the last parts of the pre 06 motors?

Is there any way to find out before buying the car?

I want a 300rwkw+ car.

Had the same issue when buying, in the end I went for a Mk2 just to be on the safe side

So if you give ford the VIN they can tell you what parts in that engine are fpv or not.

They can tell you everything about the car as it left the factory. Have you ordered spare parts for your car from Ford? They ask for your VIN so they can give you the right parts. Doesnt always work though if someone has labelled the wrong spark plugs at the warehouse lol...

Yeah that's what I've researched but there could be a 1-2 month grey area. I'll give ford a call after I see it Thursday.

I didn't like the colour at first but the pics are growing on me, it's seduce, the maroon colour. If it's the strong bottom then it's prob a done deal.

Once you see a clean, polised Seduce car in person youl will fall in love with the colour.

Its a colour that doesnt show its potential in photos.
