sat in front of autocad for a lil bit this evening

42a2afc7.jpg

thinkin mirror polished ally this time with dark timber floor and either a ford logo or my business logo recessed into the timber from mirror polished stainless...

the tail light part is actually 150x50 rhs running all the way across the back underneath. the led tail lights will be recessed in so it will just look like slots cut in to the rhs until thay light up.

will do couple more sketches to demonstrate what im talkin about for those who cant picture what im talkin bout. its drawn with a round bottom because im going to split some 50mm tube right down the guts and weld it the full length across underneath.

sounds interesting mate, I have never actually had a close look at your tray, will have to next time I see your car. I reckon your business logo would be cool recessed into the timber, and some sort of hardwood decking would be cool, otherwise hardwood flooring but it will need to be replaced every once in a while.

Dont think it would be overkill as it would be a feature in the tray. It could be anything actually. Just some random pattern. Doesnt have to be just stainless either. Could be coloured acrylic. Could be a big CFC logo haha.

All I know is im not happy with this one. Have been looking again at SMACXR8 pics in my first post again, that's what originally inspired me but then I went way off from what I originally wanted. Really like his tray and am goin to use it as base for my next one.

Yes lots of people think im mad for not just finishing this one but meh. Make an offer and ill probably take it :P
