got quote on the ladder bars... just been flat out with other stuff...

Still got a few decisions to make with the bars.

It will definately have two bars. 1 front 1 back.

looks wise I really like this for the front

falcon-tray.jpg

but practicality would suggest doing away with the two supporting bars.

I staill have not decided on the toolboxes or not. if yes to the boxes they will be one on each side from cabin to rear axle, hence why the support bar would be impractical.

I also still have to make a decision on the underneath between cabin and mudflaps. if I got the toolboxes I would definately just box it in under there aswell but if I didnt get the toolboxes I may still continue the bars down through the floo, then across then back up to form a step.

decisions decisions...

Im only in here now typing this because im procrastinating on other stuff im meant to be doing today hahaha...

But yer, stay tuned... Ill get back onto this asap.

ok... sooo...

time to get back into this thing hey :)

Since the performance mods I have been slack on finishing the tray. I have blown over it with a matt black undercoat and that's about it. Oh I lowered it another 20mm last sat when doing some mods on the exhaust. Got the rear muffler lower so I could drop the tray a bit, replaced the whole section over the diff that was hitting, pulled the cat about 20mm away from the cabin where it was hitting once the zorst heated up with a strategically placed tig weld and fabricated a mount off the gearbox to hold it there. the below pics were taken before it was lowered.

Yes the car is dirty :P

Plans are back in full swing on this now, The underneath is to be re cut with the numberplate recess further forward. The rear mudflap will be moved about 20mm forward.

The underneath part will continue up to the cabin. Not sure if I will steer it down to meet the bottom of the cabin or just continue straight. There will be some CAD pics soon for some opinions.

Am also thinking of the next one ;) stainless round tube with polished floor boards. Company logo routed/cut into the deck with laser cut stainless steel logo dropped into it :)

:eek2: that looks sweet! :leghump:

would definitely consider getting just the tray, head board and bars for the future ute!

noooo not the argents! :crybaby: what about fg xr6 rims, not the sports pack ones, but the luxury pack I believe-19in rims. ones that look similar to this but with a lip, paint them up? if u sold these (assuming theyre genuine) I reckon ud be able to get the new rims, painted and new tyres with the money from the argents :)

Actually looked at blue rim protectors...

The rubber is a real crappy colour on them tires... looks dirty and makes the whole wheel look pov.

cheers mate :drinks: it just looks good how it is in that photo, let alone dropped more!

hmm it could fade a little, but ive built houses that have open windows to the sun everyday and they seem to be pretty good - theyd want to be as well considering the price to get them sanded down and re done!! I reckon there would be a good polish that would be good for doing it on the tray. or even if u see a ute with floor boards on the tray, ask what they use. ill keep an ear out if I hear anything
