Don't clear coat it, sand it and hit it with decking oil every 6 months, tis a work ute innit

Where the rear muffler is makes it pretty much impossible to dump it, it has to come out where it does. Believe me I have taken every millimetre with this 4" zorst.

18x10 +12 would be fine. Just have flared guards like I have :) that's the beauty of having the tray. Make it to suit.

Dags I can pm u links to some killer tutorials if you like. I used solid edge many years ago and went through the built in tutorials. You just work through one how they say then do it again and improvise a bit. I pretty much forgot everything though and been on 2d AutoCAD for last 10 years. But yer, the ladder bars are next and the headboard will be attached to them.

It is a work ute but the deck wont be used to lug sh*t around. The ladder bars might have rabbit ears down bottom as tie points for carrying lengths of tube etc.

The flip up ones that sit in the deck look the goods but dont know how strong theyd be. Also rekkon they would rattle like a bitch. I could end up with a few discreet little T bars welded on underneath somewhere for Justin Case though. I do have the idea of a removeable rail but the issue is it would have to bolt to the ally frame, and tapping 3mm ally is crap. The holes will flog out in no time.

Doing well for teaching yourself solid works..

Looks mint.. There are different libraries of textures available if you want to check out different wood types in the tray.. The redwood and black tubing looks brilliant though!

Would you consider painting the metal frame the same colour as the car though?

pp my car is black (silhoette). tray would be sprayed the same.
