I measured with a laser from the back of chassis to the ground with the tub on then off then with tray and flooring on.

It rose 35mm with tub off then dropped 25mm with tray and flooring on. So with the bars and the under carriage cladding it should come out pretty close.

If needed I will put load assisting springs in at later stage.

As for led tail lights, ive heard you just need to mount extra resistors for each light from a few places and smacxr8 mentioned something about they disable DSC? Will be gettin auto elec to wire them up anyway so all should be good. I want to keep the plug in option rather than hard wired.

Might get the tray on this weekend. Welding it out as I write this. Then prep it for painting. 2 days to paint and dry, then fit it to the car again and fabricate the underneath then mount tail lights, indicators, reverse and numberplate lights. Then shes on the road :-) woot. Will just have to bend up the bars at later stage.

I was a bit skeptical at first but now seeing what it will look like I think it will be sh*t hot.

Any updates on this?? Some new pics would be sweet :)

Very keen to see this finished, your welds are mad! This has been the only custom tray that would persuade me to get one once I get a ute..very nice :spoton:

He's been slack. Na think it's just waiting for him to fit it up and then make the boxes up.

Hi Craig...

Unfortunately this has been on the backburner as I been busy as hell with setting up my business and work and other stuff... I do have a deadline now as she is booked in at pitlane for tune next month, So in order for that to happen I will need all my parts installed rather than sitting in their boxes on the floor at my workshop.

I cant do the exhaust untill the tray is finished so yer, best I get stuck back into it.

Theres actually not a lot more for me to do.

I have to send a sheet of stainless to laser cutters to cut out the under carraige part. Ive drawn it up in autoCAD and ready to go

then just have to retrofit the whole lot before prepping it for painting...

Didnt go crazy with fotos last time I put it together but here is 1 just to prove im actually still doing this haha :stirthepot:

they are the sides... the whole rear chassis, from mudflaps back, will be enclosed in stainless..

Im actually uploading some pics now of some tail light lay outs... might let the people decide what looks best...
