I live near Sydney airport, Tunehouse seems to be the pick around the area, but I cant understand why I cant get my factory car to stop stalling.

Another thing if I start the car and put it in drive straight after the engine fires up and before the engine revs come down to idle it will stall, Is this normal? I have never had a car that did this. I sometimes do it if I'm in a rush.

mate just take it to the tunehouse mate. jim will make it a better car.. GO TUNEHOUSE I SAY.. :3gears:

Agree with what others have said. The car has been flagged for warranty issues so get a good tune and enjoy the car.

My previous car had similar issues and got the air/fuel mixture changed via a tune and the fuel pump got changed. Car was BA XR6T auto with 322rwkw. This thing would stall while driving but yours sounds a bit different. Tune it and enjoy it I reckon.

if its been tuned before just get it re tuned and bump up the idle 50-100rpm

mine stock idled like a bag of sh*t, now its far superior, idle speed is about 550rpm and it runs a bit fatter at idle...

I know exactly the problem you have had as its happened to me 3 times when pulling into the drive way when slowing down, dropps into 1st I turn the steering wheel a bit and............... engine's gone off.... no vibrations etc...

+ FG F6 with tune = awesome, without.... lame ;)

A tuner will have the answer light years ahead of Fords servicing dept, basically if it aint throwing a code they got NFI.

Telling him to just get a tune isn't the answer...

Bring it back to the dealer you bought it off and park it in front of their service department... And leave it there without the keys...

Block access to everything... And say fix it f*ckers... Including the 'no warranty flag'...

Sounds like a bit of a headache.. that's terrible that they would sell a used FPV without knowledge of a tune, im guessing they claim they have done a full mechanical/warranty check.. before the car is actually put up for sale?

Hope they can get it right for ya, give em hell!

Whilst I agree with sticking it to the dealer, none of these dicks would now how to fix a tuned car properly. And again, they know they can out wait you.

Darcati,

I think the question you need to ask yourself is do you plan on keeping the car factory and with no modifications or do you want to mod in the future? If you aren't going to mod then take it back to Ford and stick it to them. If you plan on adding mods and making your car really amazing (hint hint) then I'd save yourself the pain and take it straight to Tunehouse. You'll drive out of there with a huge smile on your face, just experienced much better service than Ford will ever offer and never take your car back to Ford in the future.
