Unfortunatley there is no liscencing or governing body who do regulate Dyno's. My attitude is that if any of my customers wanted to take me to town about figures I know mine will stand up, I'm aware of it happening before and it will happen again.hi joel,I run up a ve gts 08 307kw badge manaul car other week, std tune it made 227rwkw doesnt even add up to whats on badge at motorand my last version software didnt have air temp probe, no ramp test, only load and speedmy own car made 231rwkwnew software using shootout mode temp probe on wallmine made 232rwkwI was surprised it wasnt higher, depends if tuner is honest operator

I am looking to upgrade from my modified BA MkII to a stock FG.Surely someone on here has jumped from a mildly modified BA or BF into an FG?You're right mate - has gone off topic a bit and I contributed to that . I don't think anyone will be able to give you a clear answer because the level of tune will vary, hence the rwkw and dyno debate. Bottom line, both cars make power differently. The FG has far less lag (F6 a little more). Out of the hole, it will get the jump. The BF will need to make not just the same, but more power to catch it. I would take a guess knowing the average FG makes around 218 - 235rwkw (true figures) that your BF is going to need a solid 240 - 250 to catch it over a 400m sprint. Agree with others though, the only real way is for someone to line 'em up .

I am looking to upgrade from my modified BA MkII to a stock FG.Surely someone on here has jumped from a mildly modified BA or BF into an FG?G'day,My previous car was a BF2 XR6T with BMC Air Filter, F6 CAI and 10PSI tune. It pulled 256rwkw and was equipped with a 6spd ZF Auto.I'm currently driving a 6spd manual FG XR6T and while it is heaps more fun, the BF hoses all over it in a straight line. I'm at least half a second behind. Probably needs a driver mod though. On the track, I have lapped quicker in the FG around Barbagallo raceway than the modified BF.Manual vs Manual, my money is on the FG winning more consistently, but it would be pretty even. Put your car up against a ZF6 equipped FG XR6T, and my money is on the FG all night long. There is plenty of evidence of mid 12 second stock standard FG XR6T's (with the ZF6); put your gonads on the line (literally) and see if you can beat mid 12's. If you cant, you have your answer. Edited 10/02/11 04:57 AM by Inducted_Breeze
