Very odd.At the suggestion of this bloke at the tyre shop, I tried the falken 452's and I've been more than happy with them so far.

Last set were pirelli dragon which I found were pretty good but I haven't experienced full on premium tyres. Next time I'll try ku31 I think
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 27/12/10 10:40 PM Share Posted 27/12/10 10:40 PM I've had Pirelli eufori's.... not great for the price. Don't think they liked the weight of the car. They go off quick and don't last long. Also very noisy after 5,000k'sNexen 5000's......cheap cheap and that's about it. They get very noisy with wear and don't last long. sh*t in the wet and go off after about one lap at the track.Goodyear asymetrics..... Cannot fault them. I think the best tyre for cars this heavy. Also the dearest.Kumho Ecsta KU31's.... I have these on now. After the Goodyear's I was initially a bit disappointed with them. I didn't bargain hunt and they cost me close to the Asy's Initial turn in is not as good. But I am finding they do have the mid corner grip of the Ays's. Now I am more than pleased with them. They will outlast the Goodyear's by a fair bit. And are quieter and better in the wet if you keep them well pumped up. I got 8,000k's out of the good years and these are just over 5,000 k's and I still have around half the tread left.

The rears are copping a hiding though at the moment and won't make it that far I run them at 36 rear, 38 front. The last pair got chewed out on the inside but I'd done about 30,000 and they still had 30% depth or so in the middle.
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 28/12/10 01:52 AM Share Posted 28/12/10 01:52 AM Yeah mine does a few laps a week @ QR or mainly Mnt Cotton. And the skid pan. I run fairly agro settings on the front too. They seem to wear evenly front to back.

Very sticky, will take WOT on a wet road (yes it's a stocker but it could turn cheap rubber in the dry).Quiet with reasonable wear. Should go at least 30k. You can get `em for 300 or less each they as quiet as a 19 inch tyre is ever going to be and seem to grip under any conditons I encounter.Much better than the marangoni mishaps I had on previously.I've had 452's and with 370rwkw, they don't grip nearly as well as the Toyo T1R. The T1R is also quieter. The 452's tram line fairly bad when they begin to wear as well. The T1R has been superseded by the T1 sport. I grabbed the last set of T1R's my dealer had but I'll be giving the T1 sport a go next. Anyone tried them?
