If they are treasured memories, surely you want the best from them? I investigated doing this with all of old 6x4 photo's, and in the end its cheaper and much better quality to get it done by a pro. There's a unit I have that was about $90 that allows you to plug in any video input and then it plugs into a PC via USB. Then the software takes care of putting it on a DVD for you.Hope that makes sense, sorry but it's been a long work day. PM me if you want more info.Edit: just saw above post. Definitely get your hands on a second hand camcorder. It will be by far the cheapest way.
