From what I've read it does a good job in the Land Rover and that's 600kg heavier.

It would be nice to compete with the newer opposition with the latest spec motor, not what is effectively last generations engine..

Having said that, the 3litre, as used in the Land Rover Disco4, is an option, not standard equipment. These new-gen diesels go in a very un-diesel like manner.. As a prospective buyer in the near future, I'd always prefer the newer, better specced and undoubtedly better performing motor... What say you? With Tata now in the drivers seat so to speak, we can but hope for the latest and greatest.. Also remember, Ford was the only one of the Big Three car maunfacturers in the US, that did not have to go the government, cap in hand, to beg for a bail-out. Thems cagey and scrooge-like, but it continues to keep them profitable..

I've got a 2010 TTG and am certain that they only have 245kw motor. If I found a friendly ford dealer, can they 'flash' the car so it has a 270kw tune in them, not unlike the F6X, or did thy run different injectors etc??? I know of 1 mate with an FG xr8, that was 'apparently' edited at a ford dealership he worked at to match the GT... Is there any truth to this?
