I looked into buying one of these, but decided on the 2010 TTG. The dealers who went to the press release said the new one uses FG interior, New front and rear ends, the dealer said alongside a new kluger, the territory has VERY similar front and rear lights, and the territory has led driving loghts and mentioned that the exhaust setup is very 'toyota'.

New model I guess???2.7litre direct injected turbo (4 cylinder)

Same 4 litre, 4 litre turbo (both petrol) and dedicated gas injection...

Same basic body as original territory with different front and rear panels.

NO 4.0 litre turbo option :bangcomputer::censored:

I thought it was all different except for just the front doors or something like that.

Different from A pillar forward and C pillar back, FG interior with, if the hype is correct, Ford's MyFord entertainment system which is also scheduled for FGII in the middle of 2011.

The diesel is a V6, not a four banger. Very smooth and is actually a good drive, even for someone used to a modified XR. Picks up the weight of the terry with ease.

No petrol turbo - we haven't made one of those since June!

New front end (bumper, rgor, fenders, bonnet) new cladding and skirting, new quarters, new tailights, new rear bumper.

Seeing as nothing has been released I have never seen the interior and don't know what has changed... :innocent:

As for looking like a Kluger from behind - considering the changes that have been made you must think that the current territory looks like a Kluger (or would it be that the Kluger looks like the territory)?

I've heard good things about the Land Rover diesel engine. I'll have to take one for a test drive.

The new kluger has been out for a bit now, and the new territory is yet to be released... so I'd say the territory looks like the kluger. The headlights are very kulgarish too, lol. Just my 2 cents worth

I agree its hard to judge the true shape in that colour but its design follows Fords styling language.. Shame about the petrol turbo engine option, but it probably simply wasnt worth the money certifying one for sale with regards to emmisions, seeing as it was only ever a niche model.

Will need to see one in the flesh before I can really judge the look.... Bearing in mind the original style has endured very well...God bless Geoff Polites for pushing the whole Territory idea thru...rest his soul.

Sorry champ my point was that the rear hasn't really changed and the Territory has been out since 2004, hence the Kluger (assuming 2nd generation) must look like the territory, although its really a reference to the tailights im assuming. The reality is that everyone copies everyone else really - bits of mazda, toyota, BMW, audi, etc, design themes are combined or considered for a car like this.
