ikon Member 6 Member For: 15y 1m 8d Posted 23/12/10 10:24 AM Share Posted 23/12/10 10:24 AM Hey all,I had my BA xr6t sedan lowered last week with king springs. SL front and SSL rear. The front sits perfect..just on the tyre. But the rear still needs another 30mm at least to be over the tyre. It's not what I expected as from what I have read and seen in photos, this combo should have been on the tyre front and rear.Am I wrong? Is this about the height it should be or should I be taking it back to get them to check? They told me it could take a week to really settle at its true height but im not too sure about that.Any feedback is appreciated.Thx, Jas.

aiboart Member 665 Member For: 20y 9d Posted 23/12/10 12:35 PM Share Posted 23/12/10 12:35 PM Fill the tank, ensure the full size spare is onboard, add two people in the back and some luggage for four, say for a day trip, and then see how it sits. The last thing you want is a tail dragger.Cars with at least some refinement in the aero department (and the XR6-T seems fine - certainly much better than a Mk I Audi TT...) always have the nose pitched down. This configuration generates generates a low pressure area under the car as well as some high pressure areas above the bonnet and roof. It also helps to mitigate the extent of low pressure over the rear window and boot by changing the angles of those surfaces. The underbody low presure area also helps to extract hot engine bay air (on the XR6-T that is a big deal).Regards,aa

Emptied the whole car but still ripped sh*t out of the center muffler getting out. Worst sound ever

Tyre on guard front and rear looks best IMO. Getting springs compressed only costs 110 or just buy a set of ultras, although I think ultras still sit pretty high. Check my topics there's pics of how a ba sedan in undercoat should sit.

As the gap between tyre and guard seem the same front and back. I would have thought SSL rear would have made the rear closer to the tyre. P.S. Nice colour car!
