Hey all,

Got my BA MKII XR6T a few weeks ago and it seems to have deeper exhaust note than others. When I had it on the hoist I noticed it had what looked like an aftermarket cat and different piping. Sorry this is the only photo I have at the moment but it shows what the cat looks like. Does this look normal or not?

Thanks

It still has two mufflers. Here is some more pics. The rear half looks standard. Maybe it just had a stuffed cat and that was replaced. either way would the cat be a high flow version or just a cheapo replacement.

Looks like someone has also added some pipe work on it but the Cat in/out looks smaller than the pipe work they have used. The Cat body diameter looks a bitt small to flow decent HP any way mate. Looks like you have a bitsa exhaust.

If it was my car and I was going to install an intercooler then I'd also be investing in a flash tuner and custom tune. Then see how your moded exhaust flows. Flash tuner will be your best bang for buck mod.
