xr6t_ute, I will take it to the track once its fixed. with 350rwkw I got my 11.76 with 2.1 60". there is a 10 in there with 350rwkw on his dyno. mind you that's through the converter 350rwkw.

I will be only selling the motor once I get a buyer. So should get a chance to take it to the track once before upgrading again.

spoolxr6, unfortunatlly, tuners will always find a way around fixing and paying for rebuilds. sucks balls. They ALWAYS cover their ass first before looking after clients. No matter who the shop is usually!

Hey *Beep*, with your MPH and some slicks you should get into the 10's mate. Good luck with it.

I don't think that the shop will cover anything either, but they sure have crippled their reputaion either way now.

Yeah, if your flexplate bolts are coming loose, it will get worse every time you run the car usually.

Like rattler said, to test if its that, hold your foot firm on the brake while its in drive and slightly stall up the motor and if the rattle sound disappears under load, then its your flexplate. If that's the case, avoid driving it any more, get it towed to somewhere (or do it all yourself), but you don't want it to completely come off and start ruining/stripping other parts.

I did that test early in the morning, I held the brake an stalled it up but the noise was still there, its a light knocking noise an im 100% sure its from the motor,im going to give brad (atomic) a phone call see if he can help me out.

CCCC - while this will cost you $5k to fix, believe me, C&V will loose ten times that in future sales. What a shame... the glory days of C&V are dead.

C&V can forget me ever being a customer... that's $5k they've lost alone.

I hope Jim at Tunehouse ramps up operations, he is going to be very busy!!!

I love how everyone gets the scent of blood and it turns in to a witch hunt.

CCCC I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues but like with everything there's two sides to every story. Hopefully the workshop will clarify from their perspective exactly what's going on.

For all the vultures to start circling is pathetic. If you have genuine input as far as diagnosing or suggesting what can be done then by all means share you thoughts...otherwise :gtfo2:

It isnt hard to figure out tab. It hasnt been run up on a dyno for more than 20mins, and they just threw a few tunes his way when he notices problems and tell him to "try that out". Now he possibly has a bent rod.

No matter what perspective, that is just laziness. And in my opinion, based on this single experience, I would not ever take my car there because I want more than a "try that out" tune on my $28k car. Is that so bad?

This guy just wants some answers from a once credible tuner who seems to not want to know about it. The perspective we want is an explanation, and a solution for CCCC. C&V may be a site-sponser, but isnt that all the more reason to have answers givin in these type of threads rather than telling members to knock it off?

So you know for a fact that's exactly what happened do you? That's impressive.

The reason threads like this get locked or disappear is exactly because of what's happening here. Keep it going and this thread will be in the bin before you know it.

Good result. Hopefully you get a proper tune while you are there. Let us know how it all ends.

Perhaps the potential of a damaged reputation is more expensive than a damaged motor... without a forum to express this, how would they ever know?

For once, I agree with tab...

Leave it where it is. Let's see what happens...

I was gonna say maybe they accidentally loaded the wrong tune etc... But any decent tuner would check all tunes on the dyno...

No point bagging them out... They have had some awesome cars in the past... This may be a small hiccup :spoton:

I really just wanted other peoples thoughts, to see if some people had similar problems an how they resolved it.
