Its hard for me to just say who really tuned it you know,if its an on going thing an the car is still running like crap, il speak up straight away,but since its just been one day of dramas,il just stay kool an hope it gets sorted asap,now for me going back there yesterday to sort it out,it never went back on the dyno,they just asked me at what rpm it pinged an I said as soon as it hit 3rd gear it pinged at around 3500rpm to 4000rpm.Time on the dyno less then 15 minutes worth.

how can u go past CV or tunehouse up there.

Easy 330rwkw+ with those mods through the 3200 stall. its not a 150,000km motor is it?

its not safe cause of low dyno figure. your running massive boost to get there. Your dyno sheet would be interesting.

Still recon go new tuner.

Its got 100000k on the clock, I thought 17psi is high aswell an unsafe, tuner reckons I can thrash it all day long with no dramas,thank god after all this pinging the engine is still in one piece, an not making any knocking noises,hopefully they sort this pinging s..t out,an the other tuning problems.

Im pretty sure hes already at C&V, sounds to me like theyve uploaded someone elses tune into it and said happy days. I could (and hope) be wrong but it seems to be a regular occurance with some sydney tuners

Edit: maybe when you took it back they turned back on the knock sensors therefore pulling out a heap of timing and going like sh*t??

I agree with Possum on the credibility of some Sydney tuners, as I have experienced Tunes from three of them so far. I hope he hasn't gone to Pingtune, sorry I meant to say Intune Motorsports.lol. When I bought my car the previous owner had a custom tune by them and when I went back I asked him to take it for a drive and let me know what that noise was (detonation), lol, he said it's normal for these things to ping a bit. I said thank you and left there as fast as I could.

Mate if you are still having issues go and speak to Jim @ Tunehouse both Possum and I have 11 second daily drivers tuned there and he will not leave the car if he does not feel comfortable with the Tune, let alone pinging? Is it possible you got a bad batch of fuel or was it doing it straight away from the Tune Shop?

I don't know how some of the shops can do "custom tunes" for $400 on special!!! Basically that just means we will load a basic tune from a car with similar mods and then modify it a bit... Not a full custom tune...

You pay less, you get less... I bet when they they have specials on they can do twice as many tunes in a day... It's not like they would pay their employees 30% less that week, so how would they compensate???

Just name the shop, Id be f^%ked if im gonna drive 2 sydney and get a tune pay around 500+ for my motor to get ripped apart, I want 2 stay clear of any half ass work shops cause in the end its my hard earned that could be getting pissed away for a sh*t tune

Agree with you guys about the whole CV, generic tune sh*t
