Vibrations Through Cabin.

Hi Everybody,

I have a September 2009 built FG XR6T Ute, auto, 18 inch wheels, all factory standard apart from a Flexiglass canopy & roof rack. Just done over 15,000 kms (had service yesterday). When the car is in drive stopped at idle there is a vibration through the cabin, you can hear it & feel it through the seat. The intensity varies & is hard to pin point, it does not occur at any other time although can be worse with the aircon on.

Ford dealer in Perth say they cannot find a problem, although service manager experienced it when he sat in the car. The car had a drive train failure just after it's 3000 km service check (can't remember if it was an input or output shaft) & this problem has only occurred since then.

Has anybody else out there had similar problems? Any input from anybody would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Brian

hrmm these tail shafts aren't just fit and go, they need to be balanced, but you said you get it at idle, maybe when the tail shaft went it buggered up a bearing in your gearbox?

sorry mate not being much help here
