Timing is what I want to discuss with my tuner, Jamie.

You can feel it, I mean its stout enough with 368 rwkw on 98 and it does have a significant 43 kw more ( 411 ) on E and you`re gonna feel that but cripes does it rip up hard!.

What it used to do first - second it now does second - third.

I was stunned the first time, the way it just made that really expensive SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRK! noise in third like tearing 50 dollar notes up. They`re only new Falken 452`s as well, I gotta watch that sh!t...

But for sure, it`s way sharper on E85 so I`m agreeing with you, it has to be the added timing.

So it meets many expectations?? Kyle mentioned the other day that you told him it was mental..

Yes it is partly added timing, but you also notice added response from the engine, even before adding that extra timing to make use of the fuel..

PS.. That's some pretty tricky chemistry there... gonna have to try that sh*t..

I`d say it exceeds all expectations, Jamie.

I can`t speak highly enough of the service I recieved.

Both Kyle and yourself couldn`t have been more accomodating during my cars stay in Toowoomba nor more helpfull after I brought it home.

To get the increase I got for the amount spent was tremendous.

For anyone looking to test E85 I got some good info here http://iqlearningsystems.com/ethanol/racers.html

I fortunately I had the test tubes and beakers on hand as I do similar testing for silt content in washed sand at work.

I had planned on changing the fuel filter with every future oil change.

I bought 2 fuel filters and changed what was probably the original filter ( 60,000 klm lotsa black cack came out ) and I`ll change it again when I change the oil soon and assess it all then.

My plan is too run E85 all the time at this stage so I`ll report back what I find.

What`s Micks thoughts on it?

I`d be interested to hear what he says, anyone who doesn`t respect his opinion would be a dead set goose.

PULP has a limited shelf life compared to the old leaded petrol. From what I`ve read I`m wondering if E85 could be any worse and in some cases should be better.

In the coming weeks and months we shall find out. :D

My car runs and drives really well on it.

I'll tell u a small secret. :innocent:

Your best bet would be to buy one of those reusable earls filters that ETM sell. They work a treat with E85 and are easy to clean when dirty and very very easy to remove/install.. shhhhhhhh. :beerchug:

I could look at that, but a stock style filter is $20? I`d buy 2 a year tops. Mine was real poofter bastard of a thing to get off too. I ended up with my brother holding the filter with a big shifter and I reached over from the other side of the car underneath with vise grips and SSHHHHTACK! took a lot of force to break the grip it had. It was spotlessly clean and I even polished the threads with a lil wire brush and sprayed cricket piss on them and left it while I went to buy filters..

Yeh Mick told me fuel filter will need too b changed regularly. My runin tune is on bp98 (still has my 60 pound injectors, but have billet fuel rail twin feed and modified pw surge tank- running 2 044's n turbosmart 1200 fuel reg.) also his not too keen on running e85 as the fuel is not consistant, which I already no. I will be getting a beaker to check the % of ethanol everytime I fillup at caltex servo in mornington (yes I want to try the bioflex e85 stuff as it is on pump as I live in near frankston).

I have from a good sorce that e85 is hard to go off. And in the summer(hotter weather) the ethanol % is higher 80-85%

And in winter it's lower 70-75%.

Hopefully wen I get it tuned (e85 is 70-75%) so if the ethanol % is higher next month I won't have to worry. U no what I meen.

I'll also keep u guys posted as I have nothing to hide.

Jimmy

Only issue is when after I runin the car.... Yes I have bigger injectors for E85 ( is bosch Indy white 1600cc )

Only prob is I want 2 tunes... The e85 will b good with 1600cc injectors but I'm not shore about bp98 pulp ( injectors too big to run bp98 ). I'm shore wen the time is write mick will work his magic n make it work, till then I gota sit tight.

Your tuner should be able to tune on both fuels with the same injectors as I asked the same q to my tuner and he said that wasnt an issue..

Mind u, im running E85 at all times now but will look into getting another tune in the near future. :)
