Cat,pump, injectors, springs and tune are your best bet for first round of mods. Should net you around 300rwkw. Then cooler, exhaust, wastegate and retune later on. The less tunes the better on the wallet so plan wisely. Oh and chuck a cooler thermostat in it too.

Cat and fuel pump aint needed but nice to have

This might be the case for BF's and FG's with low kms etc. Looks like the OP has a BA and I can tell you from experience that I would not take the risk of running around on a stock OEM fuel pump that is 7 or 8 years old, the intank filter probably looks like a ball of mud. Plus the OEM cat is more then likely shagged as well and as soon as it disintegrates the car will boost spike.

xr6t 4.0, you will also need a new set of plug with smaller gaps. Get something like a gas or F6 plug that is gaped to 0.7-0.8mm. Also thinks like new fuel filter and general service etc.

Hi xr6t 4.0, here is what I did to my falcon to get 300rwkw

Nizpro modified factory injectors

Nizpro valve springs

x-force hiflow 100cpi cat 4 1/2 body 3 1/2 outlets

82 Deg thermostat

monzer cooler

rapid hot side piping

15 psi actuator on turbo

K&N filter

F6 Cold air intake mod.

Rest of the car is stock including exhaust ( Still has both factory mufflers in it) and fuel pump.

Me and j.d have done cat/injectors/tune with thermostat and plugs and air filters, and both got over 300. Mine has centre muffler out but j.d's doesn't.

Those prices *Beep* for 968s are what I've seen then sell for at work shops. If the op only wants 250-300 then you would go with the 968s as they are a better injector than the seimons, hub obviously don flow as much.

Fuel pump, I thought the herrod bolt in one was around 500?

But you are the expert on reaching your goal the cheapest way,'so you'ld know :beerchug:

Hi guys thanks for all the replies.

I thought it was strange as I can remember the group buy for the walbros for like $159. I thought to myself they have to be different O_O

So I could basically get the 300kw I want for less then $3500? :o

Those prices were through chiptourque in queensland btw.

So Cat,pump, injectors, springs, pump, tune, monza or the likes cooler and gapped plugs would be fine?

Whats that then,

Cat - 400? no idea

Injectors $330

Springs installed - 1300 ish

pump - 253

My old tuner recommend the sniper tune. Was alot cheaper too, $700

cooler - 350

plugs - <150

Total - 3483

Am I heading in the right direction now boys? =D

Can anyone recommend a place in brisbane to get all this done where I wont get shafted?

Are the prices I have listed reasonable? I just need to get it all passed by the wifie before I get the go ahead :P

Thanks again,

Todd.

Edit: Lets just say Ill only go for 250 ish.

Injectors, tune, cat and pump?

$400 is about right for cat by the time you have it installed, but $1300 is a bit steep for v/springs. I paid $850 at what I thought was an expensive workshop.

I wouldn't bother with the sh*tty monza cooler. Either spend the $700 on a hdi or save your money and do a better cooler down the track.

But the 3500 will easily get you there.

Ring up Chris from Rapid, he still has the cats for about $160 + postage. It should not cost you more than $100 to have it welded in, so about ~$300 all up.

Valve spring cost about $300 for a set (Nizpro) and it takes about 4-5hrs to fit them, $1300 is very very steep, should be more like $400-500 for labor.
